VICE Media Bankruptcy Not Expected To Affect Dark Side Of The Ring

The future of VICE Media not set to affect Dark Side of the Ring

With multimedia company VICE Media recently filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, wrestling fans pondered what this would mean for the future of hit documentary series Dark Side of the Ring, with the series produced and broadcast on VICE TV.

VICE filed for bankruptcy on May 15, but is expected to be sold, with VICE stating that they expect to ‘continue to operate during the proceedings’. When asked how the VICE situation could affect Dark Side of the Ring, DSOTR co-creator Evan Husney said the following to The Knockturnal:

"All indications that I have been briefed and told that this basically changes nothing for Dark Side of the Ring and for the health of the show. And for the show airing and all that stuff, everything’s on track and everything is just like it would have been in any other circumstance. So everything is business as usual," Husney said.

Series four of Dark Side of the Ring is set to premiere on May 30, with the season set to look at the likes of Marty Jannetty, and Chris Candido & Sunny amongst other topics.
