Becky Lynch and the SmackDown Live women's division invaded Monday Night Raw this week, inciting a riot that provided us with one of the biggest talking points of the year so far.
In a moment the cameras failed to show on the live broadcast, Nia Jax clocked Becky Lynch in the face, fracturing The Man's nose and concussing her in the process.
Mistakes happen in professional wrestling, and this was one of them. However, this isn't the first time Nia has injured one of her colleagues and criticism of her work is warranted at this stage - and according to a report from
Wrestling News Source, the criticism is coming straight from the top.
Wrestling News Source's... source claims that while WWE have used the situation involving Nia and Becky to drum up anticipation for Sunday's Survivor Series event, Vince McMahon and producer Kevin Dunn are not happy with Jax. Here's the full quote from their report:
"A source close to the situation has told WNS that the decision was in reaction to the Jax/Lynch situation and was drawn up to create interest for Sunday's Survivor Series. Vince and WWE producer Kevin Dunn are reportedly extremely unhappy with Jax and her current push will be scaled back or halted altogether."
Jax, of course, won the Battle Royal at Evolution to earn the right to challenge for Ronda Rousey's Raw Women's Championship once Survivor Series is out of the way. Now, it appears her status as the next big feud for The Baddest Woman On The Planet is more than a little up in the air.
