Vince McMahon Reportedly Sees Main Event Potential In WWE's Austin Theory

Theory's push will continue

More big things could be on the horizon for Austin Theory.

The 24-year-old is already aligned with Vince McMahon on Monday Night Raw, seemingly as the WWE Chairman's new chosen one, and Theory picked up a big win on Monday, pinning former Universal Champion Finn Balor clean in the middle of the ring.

Theory's push is reportedly set to continue and a source told WrestlingNews.co that the former EVOLVE Champion will be given "time to shine" in the Men's Royal Rumble on January 29 and he will be one of the final four or five participants.

Vince McMahon also reportedly believes Theory will become a main event talent within WWE in the next year.

Theory is currently in his second run on the main roster, having briefly been in stables with Zelina Vega and then Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw in 2020 before he was moved back to NXT and became a member of The Way. He remained on the Tuesday night show until the 2021 WWE Draft, when he was called up to Raw once again.
