Vince Russo Parts Ways With Juggalo Championship Wrestling

Vince Russo has announced his departure from Juggalo Championship Wrestling after he and Violent J of Insane Clown Posse mutually agreed to part ways. The former head booker of WCW noted he had been unhappy in JCW for a while, but the main reason for his departure was simply Russo's age.

Russo issued the following statement:

"o my BELOVED Supporters,

"Over the past few weeks I have received many e-mails, dms and text messages concerning my status with @jcwlunacy.

"For those of you who know me, you know I don't hide from the truth, I don't avoid the truth and I certainly don't lie about the truth.

"The reason for my silence was that... I just didn't know. I just needed some time. I'd been unhappy for a while in @jcwlunacy and I'm not going to deny that. Something had to change.

"Without getting into specifics, there were a lot of reasons with the biggest one being that at 65... I'm not the same guy I was 30 years ago. Things have changed, life has changed and more importantly... I've changed.

"A short while ago I had a phone conversation with Violent J and we have amicably agreed to part ways

"Hey man, it was supposed to be for a few weeks, maybe a couple of months, but we KILLED IT for an entire year.

"So now... it's time to move on. What the future holds... we shall see.

"I'd like to thank Violent J --- one of the kindest, gentlest, most creative souls I have ever met in my life, the @jcwlunacy locker room --- who treated me with the utmost respect, and the entire crew who worked their ARSES off every day.

"Yeah, it was a wild ride... but, now... maybe I can finally take that nap.

"God Bless, Vince."

Vince Russo joined Juggalo Championship Wrestling as an investor and booker in October of 2025, with Russo quickly becoming an on-screen authority figure in the promotion as part of a feud with Violent J.

Russo - a controversial figure within pro wrestling from his stints in creative for WWE, WCW, and TNA - introduced some of his previous booking methods to JCW in a tongue-in-cheek way, which included his penchant for pole matches.

Russo had not appeared for JCW Lunacy in recent weeks, although he continued to be mentioned on the show due to his role as the storyline instigator of Game Changer Wrestling's invasion of JCW.
