Violent J of Insane Clown Posse has revealed that he was warned not to bring in Vince Russo to be a part of Juggalo Championship Wrestling.
"A lot of people did say to me, 'He's going to come in and he's going to ruin your company.' The thing is, it's my company. If Vince came in with some idea that was so bad, why would I possibly let that happen? Right? I'm right here, you know? I don't see a lot that he writes that I don't like. I think most of it is really, really good. When I do see something, I just say, 'Hey, that's not going to work,' or, 'That doesn't really work, I don't think that works with this audience.' He's very flexible. He's very flexible," Violent J told The Takedown on SI.
It was announced in October that Vince Russo had joined Juggalo Championship Wrestling as an investor and to be involved in creative. Russo has also appeared on JCW's weekly series Lunacy as an on-screen authority figure alongside Big Vito.
Russo's involvement in Lunacy has been obvious since his on-screen debut on November 27, and a Russo-ism emerged last week as Kerry Morton faced off with James Storm in a Coal Miner's Glove on a Pole match.
Vince Russo remains a controversial figure in pro wrestling due to his creative runs with WWE, WCW, and TNA.
