Raquel Rodriguez In Concussion Protocol Following WWE Raw Head Injury

Raquel Rodriguez has been placed in concussion protocol by WWE after sustaining a head injury on Monday Night Raw.

Rodriguez challenged Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's World Title on the show, but the match ended in a no-contest after eight minutes due to Nikki Bella attacking both competitors. During her attack, Bella threw Rodriguez into the steel steps, causing the Judgment Day member's head to hit the steps.

Rodriguez revealed she had a goose egg on her forehead following Raw during a social media promo in which she promised to exact revenge on Nikki Bella.

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Rodriguez is in concussion protocol as a precautionary measure due to the goose egg.

"Raquel hit those steps hard and she had this giant freakin' goose egg on her head. Yeah, concussion protocol, which does not mean, by the way, that she has a concussion. Any time you get any sort of head injury and you get the goose egg, they put you in concussion protocol just to make sure you're okay," Alvarez said.

If Raquel Rodriguez will miss any time due to the goose egg is unknown.
