Wardlow Open To Reforming The Pinnacle Without MJF

Wardlow responds to notion of reforming The Pinnacle, with CM Punk in place of Wardlow.

During a recent appearance at Terrificon 2023 (via Fandom Spotlite), AEW star Wardlow spoke about the idea of reforming The Pinnacle stable - but without the group's former leader MJF. Responding to a question about the notion of creating a stable with CM Punk in place of MJF, Wardlow stated:

"Dude, that would be so sweet, for us to all get back together and live that Pinnacle lifestyle, and just throw it all in Max’s face. Actually no, I think I’m just gonna call Pepsi Phil myself and see what he thinks about that. We all collectively love destroying MJF and his ego [...] If there was a ‘We hate MJF' faction it would just be the entire roster."

The Pinnacle began in March 2021 with MJF's betrayal of Chris Jericho's Inner Circle group, revealing his own stable in the process. The Pinnacle consisted of MJF and bodyguard Wardlow, Shawn Spears, and tag team FTR alongside their manager Tully Blanchard.

The group lasted until early 2022 where Wardlow refused to help MJF in his dog collar match against CM Punk at Revolution, and FTR ended their association with Blanchard. Wardlow and FTR would team up for a trios match months later under the Pinnacle name, but the stable was never united again in the same way they had once been.

Wardlow scored a dominant victory over his former leader at the following Double or Nothing pay-per-view, although MJF has since bounced back, and is currently the reigning AEW World Champion.
