Wardlow Regains AEW TNT Title At Revolution

Mr. Mayhem reigns once more

Wardlow regained the AEW TNT championship after defeating Samoa Joe at AEW Revolution on Sunday night in San Francisco.

Late in the match, Joe teased going for his own Powerbomb Symphony on Wardlow, but the challenger managed to counter his way free. Wardlow then snared Joe into Joe's own Cocquina Clutch, where he earned the victory via technical submission after Joe passed out.

The win makes Wardlow a two-time AEW TNT champion. He previously reigned with the belt for 136 days from July to November 2022, before losing the title to Joe in a three way match at Full Gear on November 19.

Joe's second reign as TNT champion ends after 32 days. He won the title from Darby Allin on February 1 in Dayton, OH. His first reign was ended by Allin the first week of January.

Wardlow will have to defend the title against Powerhouse Hobbs on AEW Dynamite this Wednesday. Hobbs earned the right to challenge for the title by winning the Face of the Revolution ladder match last Wednesday night.
