Wardlow Still Wants To Win The AEW TNT Title

Wardlow wants the gold

Wardlow has big plans for the remainder of 2022 after Sunday's Double Or Nothing pay-per-view.

Mr Mayhem will face his employer MJF in Las Vegas on May 29 and Wardlow will free himself of his contract with Friedman if he wins. If Wardlow loses, though, he will be banned from signing with All Elite Wrestling.

Wardlow ultimately plans to win on Sunday and he revealed to Bleacher Report that he wants to pursue the TNT Championship following his victory over MJF.

"I see the rest of 2022 to be the year of Wardlow. The rest of this year is mine to take as far as I'm concerned. I hope everybody had fun playing pro wrestler because the real deal is here now. I haven't gone a day where I haven't thought about the TNT Championship. I was literally a second away from being the TNT Champion. So, I think my first line of business is probably that just because I've thought about it every single day," Wardlow said.

The 34-year-old won the Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match back in March to earn a shot at the TNT Championship. His challenge against Scorpio Sky was unsuccessful, though, following interference from MJF.
