Wardlow To Alter Current AEW Character

Wardlow changing his AEW character slightly

Wardlow appeared to be stagnating slightly heading into the All Out pay-per-view but Mr Mayhem very much had a course correction following the show, squashing Tony Nese in a TNT Title match on Dynamite before he cut an impassioned promo to a raucous reaction.

Speaking about the moment with the Daily Gazette, Wardlow revealed he is altering his AEW character and he will be a more hungry, intense version of himself moving forward.

"Absolutely. There's some changes. I'm just entering a new era in my life. I'm evolving, things are changing. I've just become a hungrier, more intense version of myself, and I'm ready to display that and I'm ready to let the rest of the world feel that," Wardlow said.

Wardlow has been one of AEW's breakout stars in 2022, finally separating from MJF at Double Or Nothing in May with a big win over the Salt of the Earth. He then defeated Scorpio Sky for the TNT Championship on the July 6 edition of Dynamite.
