WarGames Officially Returning At WWE Survivor Series 2023

Survivor Series will host WarGames once again

There was seemingly some back and forth over the last year when it came to the approach to Survivor Series 2023, but WWE have officially announced the return of WarGames to the premium live event, after the structure made its debut at the show last year.

For a while it seemed as though WWE may be reverting to the previous Raw vs. SmackDown battle for brand supremacy formula which dominated the show between the years of 2016 and 2021 - but WarGames has prevailed, as WWE aired a promo package for War Games at Survivor Series during last night’s Crown Jewel premium live event, confirming the gimmick match’s return.

Last year saw The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, & Sami Zayn) take on Kevin Owens, Drew McIntrye, & The Brawling Brutes, in addition to Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim, Asuka & Becky Lynch battling Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross & Rhea Ripley. The participants for this year’s event have yet to be announced, and it is currently unofficial as to whether there will be one or two WarGames matches.
