All Elite Wrestling are believed to be ‘imminently close’ to signing a new TV deal with broadcast media partner Warner Bros. Discovery.

The two sides have been in negotiations over a new deal since late 2023, with AEW’s current exclusivity deal with WBD believed to be expiring in a ‘few weeks’. Per a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WBD are expecting to close on a new deal with AEW ‘imminently’, although the major specifics of said deal aren’t believed to have occurred as of writing.

Despite ratings for flagship show Dynamite on Wednesdays down from June 2023, AEW programming is still the highest rated in the vaunted 18-49 demographic for entertainment shows across TNT and TBS, with only reruns of Big Bang Theory delivering more viewers in the same demographic.

Meltzer notes that although talks are going well and despite WBD's belief about a deal being signed soon, until anything is actually signed then this doesn’t mean anything as deals can change.

Reports in May suggested that Warner Bros. Discovery were keen to add AEW PPV events to their MAX streaming service.
