Throughout IMPACT Wrestling's history they have alternated between using a four sided ring and a six sided ring. While a four sided ring is commonplace within professional wrestling, the nature of the six sided ring has meant that it has divided opinion since it's inception in Total Nonstop Action.

Back in 2018, former IMPACT star Christian (Cage) shared his own reservations about the ring,

explaining that he found it awkward to wrestle in, and that it made bumping hurt more. He said: "It was a little bit awkward to wrestle in, because sometimes when you are shooting somebody corner to corner, you had to adjust because it wasn't directly across. And it was also really hard, like it was a hard ring. If you weren't bumping pretty much around the middle of it, like around the edges were super, super hard, and it hurt."

Now former IMPACT stars Sting, Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles have weighed into the debate during the latest episode of Table For 3.

Sting explained, because of his history in WCW, he had become used to a four sided ring and found it difficult to adjust to the new ring in TNA, adding: "I hated it...it just changed the dynamic of everything. I supposed it's good for some and not so good for others."

Styles disagreed with the Stinger however, admitting that he loved the ring. He said: "I grew to love it. I thought it made us so different from anything anybody else was seeing and it was kind of like cage fighting…I loved that look to the point where when I heard we were going to lose it I was mad."
