WBD Happy With AEW Following "Banner Year"

WBD are thrilled about AEW's "banner year" of 2023

Despite all the talks and rumours of Warner Bros Discovery opting to side with WWE for the rights of Monday Night RAW ahead of TV deal discussions this year, it hasn’t stopped them from gushing over the success of AEW’s programming across TNT and TBS, with them still being clearly happy about how AEW is doing.

WBD took a look back over 2023, highlighting AEW for their performance over the last twelve months. In a press release where it was stated that it was a "banner year" for AEW, several figures were released which noted AEW’s positive impact in ratings, detailing that AEW brings in nearly four million viewers per week.

“TNT’s ratings among Adults 25-54 grew 14 percent year-over-year, with the network maintaining its rank as the #1 cable entertainment network in prime among Adults 25-54, 18-49 and 18-34. Popular AEW Dynamite, AEW Collision and AEW Rampage reached nearly four million viewers each week across TNT and TBS. In addition, TNT’s coverage of the 2023-24 NBA regular season to date is up 13 percent among Adults 25-54 (Q4’23 vs. Q4’22), while the 2023-24 NHL regular season to date is up 53 percent among Adults 25-54 (Q4’23 vs. Q4’22).”

Even if WBD do opt with WWE going forwards, it certainly has nothing to do with their views on AEW’s performance on their channels.
