John Cena is currently on a very short hiatus from WWE, having not appeared on the company's programming since he defeated CM Punk to retain the Undisputed WWE Title at Crown Jewel on June 28.

Cena recently popped up at Wimbledon and the 17-time world champion is currently filming an upcoming Netflix movie in New Jersey with Eric André, NJ.com has reported.

The movie - Little Brother - had filming scheduled for Tuesday, July 8 in Montclair, New Jersey. The movie is focused upon a prominent real estate agent played by Cena who has his life turned upside down when his younger brother, portrayed by André, shows up.

Cena is currently on his WWE retirement tour, with his final match scheduled to take place in mid-December. The next match for the 48-year-old looks set to be at SummerSlam where he will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against King of the Ring winner Cody Rhodes in what will be a rematch of the WrestleMania 41 main event.

Cena's next advertised appearance for WWE will be on the July 18 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in San Antonio, Texas. Cena will then be on the go-home episode of SmackDown before SummerSlam before he competes at the pay-per-view.

Beyond this, Cena is advertised for the August 8, August 22, and August 29 episodes of SmackDown. He is also on promotional materials for the Clash in Paris and Crown Jewel pay-per-views.
