Goldberg Believes Bron Breakker Should Be The Only WWE Wrestler Using The Spear

‘Who has the best spear’ is a debate as old as time, but according to Goldberg, only Bron Breakker should be using the move in WWE.

Goldberg popularised the move during his iconic late 1990s WCW run, with the manoeuvre becoming a finisher to a whole host of names in Goldberg’s wake. Currently, several WWE superstars use the move, but ‘Da Man’ thinks it should be reserved for Breakker only, as he revealed to SHAK Wrestling:

“1,000%. He’s the only human being in the WWE that should be doing that. I know I’m gonna catch a lot of hell from that, but I don’t care, because that’s the truth. I mean, it is what it is,” said Goldberg.

Indeed, many fans have given praise to Breakker’s use of the move, with his spear on Carlito in early 2025 earning a heap of plaudits. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso are amongst several others who also currently employ the move as part of their arsenal.

Goldberg is set to face WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER in what is billed as the former WCW World Champion’s retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12.
