While Rhino did not appear during the televised portion of the show, the former ECW World Heavyweight Champion was in action in a dark segment prior to Dynamite going on the air from the Masonic Temple Theater in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

Before Dynamite began, Rhino answered an open challenge from Nick Comoroto to wrestle anyone from Detroit. The Man Beast made quick work of Comoroto, picking up the win with a Gore.

Other dark segments before Dynamite also saw Ace Austin and The Gunns defeat Vaughn Vertigo, Atlas Armstrong, and Talon Graves, while Tony Khan introduced Insane Clown Posse to the live crowd.

Rhino was expected to wrestle in some capacity at the AEW Dynamite taping after carrying out local media interviews to promote AEW's shows in Detroit, which also includes a Collision taping tonight at the Masonic Temple Theater.

Whether there are plans in place for Rhino to appear during the televised portion of Collision is unknown, but the 50-year-old expressed his hopes of appearing in the ring with long-time friends Adam Copeland and Christian Cage at some point during the Detroit tapings.

While not signed with AEW, Rhino has been booked by the promotion at their tapings in Detroit since 2025. There were also plans in place for Rhino to wrestle for AEW at the 2300 Arena but those plans had to be scrapped due to travel issues for the ECW legend.
