Wheeler Yuta Pulled From Indy Event Following Injury

Wheeler Yuta dealing with injury

Wheeler Yuta has been pulled from an upcoming indie appearance due to injury.

The former ROH Pure Champion was set to appear at Steelstacks Smackdown II on September 16, but the event organisers have revealed that his advertised match has been cancelled due to an undisclosed injury:

“Unfortunately, @wheeleryuta has suffered an injury and is unable to compete this Sat @ STEELSTACKS SMACKDOWN II. We have, however, confirmed his participation in the pre-show Meet & Greet! Get an autograph and photo op with one of the hottest rising stars of televised wrestling!”

It is currently unknown what injury Yuta is dealing with, nor if he is set to miss any in-ring action in All Elite Wrestling or Ring of Honor. Yuta was shown backstage on the September 13 edition of AEW Dynamite, taking part in a scuffle with The Lucha Brothers and Eddie Kingston alongside his Blackpool Combat Club partners.

Yuta last wrestled at AEW All Out on September 3, teaming with Claudio Castagnoli to defeat Katsuyori Shibata and Eddie Kingston in tag action.
