The Rock Returns On WWE SmackDown
SmackDown was electrified with the return of The Rock
The Rock is back (for at least one night). The Great One electrified the WWE Universe with a goosebump-inducing return on last night’s Friday Night SmackDown, bringing about all sorts of speculation about what the future holds.
SmackDown opened with Pat McAfee in the ring in another surprise appearance, welcoming fans to the show before being interrupted by his former rival Austin Theory. The pair traded some words and insults before McAfee brought out The Rock.
The fans came unglued as The Rock walked to the ring. It was pretty much every Rock return promo ever, with Theory being made to look like a chump, and the fans loved every second. The Rock would eventually layeth the SmackDown on Theory with a People’s Elbow. Shortly after, he would come face-to-face backstage with his long-time rival John Cena, and the pair embraced.
