Claudio Castagnoli has been notably absent from AEW programming over the last several weeks, with The Death Riders faction being represented solely by AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Marina Shafir. Fellow Death Riders member PAC is currently out with an ankle injury.

The absence of the former ROH World Champion isn’t due to any sort of injury or issue on AEW’s side, with Fightful Select reporting that Castagnoli is currently taking requested time off for personal reasons. When it comes to his return to AEW programming, it is noted that the belief in AEW is that he will be back in the mix before AEW All In Texas 2025, which is just two weeks away, taking place on July 12.

Castagnoli will likely make his presence known in the main event of All In alongside other Death Riders members as Jon Moxley will be putting his AEW World Title on the line against ‘Hangman’ Adam Page. Castagnoli’s name was actually mentioned on WWE TV in recent weeks, as John Cena name-dropped him during his “Pipebomb” promo on SmackDown.
