When Juice Robinson Suffered The Broken Fibula On AEW Collision Revealed
When Juice Robinson was injured on AEW Collision
Dec 5, 2024
Juice Robinson sustained a broken fibula during an innocuous spot in his match with Will Ospreay on the November 27 taping of AEW Collision.
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Robinson sustained the injury while blocking a Sunset Flip from Will Ospreay, which came after Ospreay transitioned out of an Octopus submission. It wasn't immediately obvious that Robinson was injured and the only sign during the match was Juice's leg gave way on a Hurricanrana spot later in the contest.
"What happened in this match, at the 2-minute 56-second mark, there was a Sunset Flip spot. Very basic spot, like I watched it back, you would never know there was anything that went wrong with it. The cameras did not show the angle but I was sent a still picture of the injury and it’s very clearly there. His foot, it looked horrendous in the still picture. It was bent, it was left leg, bent in a horrible direction, just basically trying to block a Sunset Flip. These guys fly all over the place and this is the spot where you get hurt…It just happened, it was a fluke," Meltzer said.
Robinson was pulled from the Continental Classic as a result of the broken fibula. He has been replaced by Komander. How long Robinson will be on the shelf is unknown.
