Fans may not have to wait long for Maxwell Jacob Friedman to make his return to All Elite Wrestling.

The Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal has been announced for the special Holiday Bash edition of Dynamite from Manchester, England on December 17. According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, MJF is strongly expected to return in the match.

"Now, the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal has been taking place for what, five years now. And every single year, the winner of that ends up being MJF. Nobody else has ever won the ring. So, I can't say 1000 per cent that MJF is going to be in that match, but I mean, MJF's going to be in that match. He has no film commitments at this moment. In fact, he has actually been backstage. I don't know how many times, but he has been backstage at least once recently. And, they tried to keep it low-key, but he has been there. So, he's returning," Alvarez said.

MJF is a five-time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner, having won the ring every year since 2019. He defeated Hangman Page to gain possession of the ring, and he kept ahold of the jewel with wins over Orange Cassidy in 2020, Dante Martin in 2021, Ricky Starks in 2022, Juice Robinson in 2023, and Adam Cole in 2024.

MJF has been off AEW TV since All Out 2025 due to commitments filming Violent Night 2. Reports have noted that Friedman is planned to be involved at Worlds End on December 27 in some capacity, and he is the current holder of the Casino Gauntlet contract courtesy of his win at All In earlier this year.
