When MVP's WWE Contract Expires Revealed

MVP's WWE deal expires next month

Unless there is a change, MVP looks set to become a free agent in just a matter of weeks.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, MVP's WWE contract is set to expire in mid-August and there have been no major discussions over a new deal. It emerged today that Bobby Lashley and MVP will be leaving WWE upon the expiration of their contracts and the pair are looking to reform The Hurt Business in All Elite Wrestling with Shelton Benjamin. There is no word on if AEW are interested in signing the trio as of press time.

MVP has been back with WWE since 2020 and he was prominently featured alongside Bobby Lashley. MVP's TV time drastically fell after he turned on Lashley and joined up with Omos, however, and he has seldom been on any WWE programming over the past year.

PWInsider noted there had been talk about possibly using MVP as a producer, a role he initially had upon returning to WWE until he transitioned to becoming a full-time on-screen character. A commentary position was also discussed for MVP and there were tryouts at one point for the announcer and producer roles but nothing happened beyond that.

MVP also revealed in recent months that Triple H rejected putting the Hurt Business back together on TV.

While MVP's deal expires in mid-August, it is unknown when Lashley's contract ends beyond that it is soon.
