AEW were forced to pivot during this past Saturday's episode of Collision when Skye Blue suffered a legitimate injury during her match with Hikaru Shida.

Their match was stopped when it was determined that Blue could no longer continue after taking a high crossbody on the outside. The referee checked on Blue and called for the doctor, with Shida ultimately declared the winner via referee's stoppage.

Skye Blue's partner (and fellow AEW star) Kyle Fletcher posted a photo on X showing her at home with her leg in a cast. F4WOnline's Bryan Alvarez had noted that the early word is that Blue suffered a broken ankle.

The 24-year-old has been building momentum recently, coming off a win against Harley Cameron on last week's edition of Collision. Though she was unsuccessful on both occasions, she also challenged first Willow Nightingale and then Mercedes Moné for the TBS Title in May.

Blue joins a growing AEW injury list that has recently added Dalton Castle, Trent Beretta and Riho. A report suggested that WWE talent were not surprised by the injury rate in Tony Khan's promotion.
