Kenny Omega’s character took a pivot in the weeks leading up to AEW All In: London 2026, with the AEW World Champion developing a heelish streak that has been showcased in his personal promo attacks on opponent Will Ospreay, plus a vicious beatdown of his Wembley challenger that saw him hit a One Winged Angel through a table. Previously, Omega had been a fully-fledged babyface and had been a friend and ally of Ospreay - so why did this change?
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the heel turn was a call in part by Omega himself. It is noted in his report that Omega felt that turning heel was the best thing for their match with one another since it was a clash designed to end with a crowning moment, heightening the chances of their All In main event and match-ending result standing the test of time.
In the lead-up to AEW All In, reports have emerged regarding the expected debut of Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods of The New Day, with other reports revealing that AEW Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale is suffering from a legitimate injury heading into the event.
