Why Mercedes Moné Carries Two Belts As RevPro Undisputed British Women's Champion Explained
Why does Mercedes Moné have two belts in RevPro?

Mercedes Moné established herself as a belt collector at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty as she defeated Mina Shirakawa in a title vs. title match to become the RevPro Undisputed British Women's Champion.
There was instant confusion amongst many on social media, however, as Moné was awarded two championship belts and there was uncertainty about what exactly the second title belt was.
Speaking exclusively with Cultaholic's Tom Campbell, Revolution Pro Wrestling's Andy Quildan explained why Moné has two championship belts as RevPro Undisputed British Women's Champion.
"I've never seen a championship belt cause so much confusion and controversy. Essentially, the Queen of Southside belt is a legacy title from Southside Wrestling. Revolution Pro Wrestling, we took over the venues that Southside ran and their video libraries in 2019. It was looking to be a shrewd move until COVID-19 knocked us back [laughs]," Quildan said.
"As part of that, we took in all of Southside's championships. With those championships, we unified them with Revolution Pro Wrestling belts and the Queen of Southside Championship was no different. It was unified with the Undisputed British Women's Championship. With the tag team championships and heavyweight championships, the champions made the decision to only carry the RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship, British Tag Team Championships to symbolise those championships as now being unified. With the Women's Championship, the champions decided to continue to carry that belt. Which is absolutely the champion's prerogative," Quildan continued.
If Mercedes Moné wished to scrap the Queen of Southside Title belt and just carry the RevPro Undisputed British Women's Championship belt then Quildan is open to the AEW star doing so.
"It's one championship, it's a unified championship, it's an undisputed championship. It's very similar to in boxing when there is an undisputed champion they often carry around all the belts. The difference is we don't have different commissions over every belt so there's no danger of those championships being split up. If Mercedes decided she only wanted to carry the RevPro Undisputed British Championship, the physical championship, she can, or she can be covered in gold. It's entirely her call," Quildan added.
In addition to the RevPro Undisputed British Women's Championship, Mercedes Moné is the reigning AEW TBS Champion and NJPW STRONG Women's Champion.
