'Stone Cold' Steve Austin has revealed why he ended up crashing his ATV quad bike into the barricade at WrestleMania 41.
Austin made his first appearance on WWE TV since 2022's WrestleMania 38 on night two of WrestleMania 41. While driving to the ring to announce the WrestleMania attendance, though, Austin ploughed into the barricade, knocking a fan in the front row back onto their seat.
Austin has revealed how he ended up crashing into the barricade, telling Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show:
"Different throttle setup than what I'm normally used to. Long story short, just a different throttle system because I'm pretty damn handy on a on a four wheeler."
Austin noted there has been no aftermath from the incident beyond his own embarrassment.
"No, just I was embarrassed about it. I think everybody's ok, but I mean, you go out there on the biggest night in wrestling, and you end up like that, it's not the greatest day at the office. You go out there and you want to give people the best show that you can and when you fall short of that, it's not great," Stone Cold added.
It emerged following WrestleMania 41 that WWE were nervous about the incident, but any potential updates would be kept very quiet. WWE were clearly nervous in the moment as WWE President Nick Khan rushed over to the fan and was seen speaking to them throughout Austin's in-ring segment.
