Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor finally clashed at WWE WrestleMania 42, with the match turned into a street fight at seemingly the last minute.

The announcement that the match would be contested under street fight rules was made during the WrestleMania 42 night two kick-off show, with a report from Fightful Select stating that the call was made during the week due to the two-night show having an abundance of non-stipulation singles matches.

Balor - wrestling under ‘The Demon’ persona - emerged victorious, with the match the second street fight style match of the weekend following Jacob Fatu’s win over Drew McIntyre in an unsanctioned match during night one.

‘The Demon’ walked away with the win over his former Judgment Day charge, crushing Mysterio with a Coup De Grace through a table to round off the bout.

Of the six matches on night two of Mania, five were one-on-one bouts, with the sixth the multi-man ladder match for the Men’s Intercontinental Championship. Five of the seven matches on Mania 42 night one were also singles bouts, alongside a six-man tag match, and the fatal four-way for the WWE Women’s tag team Championships, won by Brie Bella and Paige.
