Will Ospreay No Longer Set To Debut In MLW

No Ospreay in MLW

Will Ospreay's Major League Wrestling debut has been scrapped.

SEScoops noted on Monday that Ospreay is no longer scheduled to debut in MLW, with The Commonwealth Kingpin confirming the news to them.

According to SEScoops, MLW's working relationship with New Japan Pro-Wrestling came to an end in mid-November after MLW told NJPW they would also be working with All Japan Pro-Wrestling, something New Japan weren't happy about.

MLW and NJPW had previously exchanged talent, with Tom Lawlor being a regular on NJPW Strong while he was under contract with Court Bauer's promotion.

The working relationship between MLW and AJPW has become more active in recent months, with AJPW booker Tajiri winning the MLW World Middleweight Title back in October at Fightland. Taiji then defended the MLW title in AJPW in November against Atsuki Aoyagi.

MLW announced back in October that Will Ospreay would be debuting in the promotion in December at the promotion's show from the Melrose Ballroom in New York City. Alas, Ospreay will not be appearing in an MLW ring anytime soon.
