Kurt Angle: Why I Turned Down AEW Offer

Angle has re-affirmed his loyalty to WWE

Since AEW opened its doors it has been open to working with wrestling legends from across the pro wrestling world, with the likes of Bret Hart, Greg Valentine, and Atsushi Onita making appearances for the company, amongst others.

One name who hasn’t featured in any capacity for AEW is Kurt Angle, and according to Angle himself on The Paradox of Sports, he turned down Tony Khan’s pro wrestling outfit:

“I considered it, I was offered a couple of deals. I turned them down. But I’m a WWE guy and my loyalty is there for right now. You know, I’m not signed with them in any particular way. But I do have some projects coming up that is part of WWE and I don’t want to mess that up,” Angle admitted. “So, I am going to stay loyal to WWE right now.”

Despite his association with WWE, Angle has worked for several major wrestling companies throughout his career, with gold laden runs across TNA/IMPACT and New Japan standing alongside his legendary run in WWE.
