Will Ospreay Regains AEW International Title At All In
Ospreay defeats MJF to regain the title
Aug 25, 2024
Will Ospreay is once again AEW International champion, regaining the title from MJF at AEW All In on Sunday night at London's Wembley Stadium.
Late in the match, after referee Bryce Remsburg was bumped, MJF attempted to strike Ospreay with a pair of brass knuckles, but was taken down by a man in a black ski mask. The man unmasked himself as the returning Daniel Garcia.
As MJF raged at Garcia, Ospreay struck MJF with the Hidden Blade, and then quickly followed with the previously-retired Tiger Driver 91 to finish MJF off.
After the match, Christopher Daniels presented Ospreay with the International belt. During his brief reign, MJF rebranded the belt as the American championship.
Ospreay becomes a two-time AEW International champion. He previously reigned with the title for 52 days between May and July of this year.
MJF's reign as International/American champion ends at 39 days. He won the title from Ospreay on AEW Dynamite's 250th episode on July 17 in Little Rock, AR, pinning him two seconds shy of a one-hour draw.
