Christian Cage Wins Casino Gauntlet At AEW All In, Earns World Title Shot

Christian Cage earns a future World title match

Christian Cage has earned a future shot at the AEW World championship, after winning the Casino Gauntlet at All In on Sunday night at London's Wembley Stadium.

Entering the match from the eleventh spot, Cage ended up pinning in Kyle O'Reilly with an assist from the twelfth entrant, Killswitch (who entered as Luchasaurus, to his old Luchasaurus theme). Killswitch teased dissension with Cage, before chokeslamming O'Reilly and allowing Cage to score the pin.

Cage and Killswitch (along with Nick Wayne) lost their World Trios titles to Claudio Castagnoli, Pac, and Wheeler Yuta in a four-way ladder match earlier in the night. Cage and Killswitch had a post-match argument, preceding each man's surprise participation in the gauntlet.

Other gauntlet entrants included Orange Cassidy, Kazuchika Okada, Nigel McGuinness (wrestling his first match in nearly 13 years), Zack Sabre Jr., Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe, Hangman Page, Jeff Jarrett, and the debuting Ricochet. Previously advertised entrant Evil Uno never made it to the ring, due to the one-fall nature of the match.
