Will Ospreay Saddened By Ricochet's Treatment In WWE, Wants To Wrestle Him Again

Will Ospreay thinks Ricochet would be more appreciated out of WWE

Ricochet has been signed to WWE since all the way back in 2018, and throughout his six years with the company he has reigned as NXT North American Champion, United States Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and currently WWE Speed Champion. He has never been able to break into the main scene despite his immense talent and ability as one of the best high-flyers on the planet, and this is something that has saddened his former in-ring rival, Will Ospreay.

When speaking to Liam Crowley of ComicBook, Ospreay said that he does keep up with Ricochet’s career, but doesn’t believe that his talents are appreciated enough in WWE, especially with the recent use of Ricochet on WWE Speed.

"I keep up with him all the time and sometimes I get a little bit sad about it. I hope he's not sad and I hope he's real happy. I keep up with him as much as I can, but I feel like people are forgetting who Ricochet was once upon a time. All of these high-flyers that you see, and myself included, we all took inspiration from Pac and Ricochet. The fact that they only value his time for under five minutes is appalling to me. I just want people to remember who he is. If you go and look at 2012-2013 Dragon Gate Ricochet, he was untouchable at the time. When it came to this generation of high-flyers, he was the greatest. He's the greatest high-flyer ever. I know it sounds weird, but I do include put him on the same level as Rey Mysterio.”

Ospreay stated that he doesn’t know how long Ricochet has left on his current deal, but would love to wrestle him again in the future. He noted that there are people here (in AEW) that would appreciate his talents much more.
