Two critically acclaimed Steel Cage matches took place in two days in early March.

First, Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay had the blowoff match to their months-long feud inside a steel cage at All Elite Wrestling's Revolution pay-per-view on March 9. The match was a bloody affair and ended with Ospreay winning after 28 minutes. The Revolution contest was awarded five stars by Dave Meltzer and has a 9.37 rating on Cagematch.

Seth Rollins and CM Punk faced off in a Steel Cage Match the next day on the March 10 edition of Monday Night Raw, with Rollins winning after Roman Reigns made his return and dragged Seth out of the cage to beat him down. The match set up the Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins Triple Threat at WrestleMania 41. The Rollins vs. Punk match was awarded four and a quarter stars by Meltzer and has an 8.02 rating on Cagematch.

Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Will Ospreay believes his match at Revolution was better than the Steel Cage Match which took place the following night.

"I can't think of another Cage Match off the top of my head that had done the stunts, the storytelling, the drama as well as that. I mean, people tried to top it the next day, and they couldn't. I just could not believe the output and the support that we got afterward, and just how people just thought it was one of the greatest Steel Cage Matches ever. I was super out of my depth with that one. I won't lie to you guys at all. It was crazy to be a part of that, and I felt like a proper pro wrestler out there. I know it's the Crypto.com Arena now, but that's the Staples Center, man. I felt like a pro wrestler out there. Kyle Fletcher even elevated himself to new heights. It was a crazy match to be a part of," Ospreay stated.

Ospreay was in action at All Elite Wrestling's Dynasty pay-per-view on April 6, defeating Kevin Knight in the first round of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. CM Punk last appeared on WWE TV on SmackDown when he revealed what his favour from Paul Heyman was.
