William Regal Close To Being Able To Appear On WWE TV

William Regal could be back on WWE TV soon

It may not be long until fans see William Regal back on WWE television screens. After his release from WWE, Regal took his business to AEW where he helped to form the popular Blackpool Combat Club faction. However, with Triple H taking over WWE creative and Vince McMahon being ousted from prominent roles, Regal made the move back to his former home.

When initially moving back though, he was under a strict no-compete clause, so was unable to feature in any capacity in WWE programming for a year or so. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer, Regal’s no-compete is “just about over”, meaning that he could well show on WWE TV at any time from now on.

It isn’t entirely clear where Regal would fit into WWE TV at the present time, as his old role of NXT General Manager is taken up by authority figure Shawn Michaels. He may not even appear on TV in anything other than a cameo role here and there, but either way, WWE will imminently have the option to use him.
