The main event has been set for AEW Winter is Coming, with the third annual Dynamite Winter blow-off set to feature a massive winner-takes-all match.

Heading into the December 7 edition of AEW Dynamite, Ricky Starks was riding high as number one contender to MJF’s AEW World Championship after winning a recent Eliminator Tournament for a shot at the gold. On Dynamite, Starks would continue his hot run of form by winning the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale for a future shot at the Dynamite Diamond Ring - also in the possession of MJF.

Rather than face MJF twice, it was announced that Starks and MJF would battle at Winter is Coming on December 14 for both the AEW World Championship and the Dynamite Diamond Ring, with the winner taking both.

So far, three matches have been officially confirmed for Winter is Coming, with The House of Black’s in-ring return against as yet unnamed opponents, and match four in the best-of-seven series between Death Triangle and The Elite for the AEW Trios Championships set for the event alongside Starks vs. MJF.
