Women's Tag Team Title Match Set For WrestleMania

Last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown continued the build to WrestleMania 41, with several teams battling in a gauntlet match to determine the new number one contenders for the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Makeshift new duo of Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria and Bayley ran the gauntlet and outlasted a field which included Natalya & Maxxine Dupri, B-Fab & Michin, Katana Chance & Kayden Carter, The Secret Hervice (Albra Fyre & Piper Niven), and Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark. Bayley & Valkyria began the match and eliminated every single team to stand tall. 

Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez emerged after the bell, facing off with Bayley & Valkyria in front of the WrestleMania 41 sign. Their match will take place on Night Two of WrestleMania 41, with WWE confirming the reported match run down to be true.

The updated full card for WrestleMania 41 is as follows;

• Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso - World Heavyweight Championship

• Cody Rhodes (c) vs. John Cena - Undisputed WWE Championship
• IYO SKY (c) vs. Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley - Women's World Championship
