World Title Match Official For AEW Revolution

A world title match has been officially announced for Revolution

Revolution is the next PPV on AEW’s calendar and the show is now only a month away. A world title match has been officially added to the card, which takes place on March 3 in Greensboro.

After weeks of growing tensions since her arrival and official signature with Deonna Purrazzo, “The Virtuosa” will be getting a huge match just two months into her run with the company as she challenged “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Purrazzo signed with AEW last month and debuted earlier on in January, facing off with Mariah May and laying her out. May is of course in the role of a superfan at the side of Storm. From there, much of the history between Purrazzo and Storm as former best friends has emerged, with them even both sharing the same tattoo of a duck on their leg. Purrazzo has picked up several wins since joining the company, defeating the likes of Anna Jay, Skye Blue, and Taya Valkyrie to earn her spot at the top of the official AEW Rankings.

This led to Tony Khan announcing the title match on X last night, as the pair will go one-on-one for the title. The current card for Revolution is as follows;

  • Samoa Joe (c) vs. Adam Page or Swerve Strickland - AEW World Championship
  • Sting & Darby Allin vs. ??? - Sting’s Retirement Match
  • Toni Storm (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo - AEW Women’s World Championship
  • Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Roderick Strong - AEW International Championship
