WWE & Bleacher Report Sign 'Highlights' Deal

WWE and Bleacher Report have signed a ‘highlights’ deal, with WWE clips set to air on the network.

Per a report from Sports Business Journal, the multi-year deal will see content from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and WWE ‘premium live events’ distributed ‘across TNT Sports-backed social platforms like B/R, House of Highlights and B/R Wrestling, among others’. B/R will also have a ‘ringside presence’ at select PLEs to ‘gather and disseminate such social and video content’.

WWE joins the likes of MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA as major sports properties with ‘formal B/R alliances’.

A subsequent report from Fightful Select notes that a source in Warner Bros. Discovery - parent company of Bleacher Report, and broadcast media partner of All Elite Wrestling - notes how the deal could be seen as a positive for AEW as well as WWE, saying they ‘believe it will affect AEW positively because WBD will have more resources dedicated to wrestling’.

It remains to be seen if such a deal will have any impact on AEW, especially as talks of a contract extension with WBD appears to be on the horizon (AEW is signed through 2027 with a one year option for 2028 on the WBD side).
