WWE & Disney Holding Talks Over 'Special Events'

More WWE shows could be on the way in 2027, with TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro noting at the Goldman Sachs Conference that WWE and Disney have held talks over "some special events."

"Remember, WWE is a different audience than the UFC, and when it comes to going after families, that's our audience, and I think advertisers are starting to see that. Frankly, I'm excited for 2027 because we're working with The Walt Disney Company on some special events around Disney and WWE and bringing those two audiences together since, of course, what do they have in common? Family," Shapiro said.

What exactly those events would be is currently unknown. Disney, of course, have a range of theme parks, while the company also have their own streaming service in Disney+.

WWE and Disney already work together through ESPN's deal for the United States media rights to WWE pay-per-views. That deal began in September 2025 and is worth $1.6 billion over five years. The partnership has so far received a mixed reception, although ESPN recently denied they had already decided against renewing the deal. ESPN is majority owned by Disney.
