WWE Already Considering Trick Williams Babyface Turn

Trick Williams might not be a heel on Friday Night SmackDown for much longer.

Williams officially moved to the main roster in December 2025 and he has already established himself as one of the top names on SmackDown. He has also proven to be popular, receiving big crowd reactions when he appears inside the arena on the Friday night show.

These reactions have given WWE food for thought, and WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported there is a push within the company for Trick to be turned babyface. WWE actually considered presenting Williams as a babyface on the main roster before his official move to SmackDown, and those conversations have since re-emerged due to the crowd reactions for him over the past few months.

Williams has often received big crowd reactions since signing with WWE in 2021, with fans in NXT boosting him to the top of the brand with "Whoop that Trick" chants from 2023. Williams went on to become a two-time NXT Champion, one-time NXT North American Champion, and one-time TNA World Champion before he moved to the main roster.
