WWE Announce Limited-Edition John Cena NFTs Ahead Of SummerSlam 2021

WWE are releasing more NFTs

WWE have announced the creation of non-fungible-tokens (NFTs) inspired by John Cena, including a limited-edition one-of-a-kind NFT, that fans can purchase and auction on ahead of SummerSlam 2021.

WWE have previously released special Undertaker NFTs, ahead of this year's WrestleMania, and the promotion is now minting John Cena's legacy in NFT form ahead of his main-event match with Roman Reigns at this weekend's SummerSlam - an event where Cena could win his record-setting 17th World Championship.

The biggest prize available, according to WWE, is the 'platinum tier auction', which includes a unique NFT of John Cena, a pair of front row tickets and VIP access at either WrestleMania 38 or WrestleMania 39, and exclusive John Cena signed and themed merchandise.

On top of this, WWE are making 500 limited-edition NFTs available as part of their 'gold tier', which also come with a merchandise box personally curated by Cena himself.

“The Summer of Cena will be capped off by a phenomenal main event at SummerSlam as well as an opportunity for the WWE Universe to own unique collectibles inspired by one of the biggest stars in Hollywood today,” said Scott Zanghellini, WWE Senior Vice President, Revenue Strategy & Development in the press release.
