WWE have announced that MVP will be out 'indefinitely' after suffering a broken rib on this week's Monday Night Raw.

MVP was ringside for Bobby Lashley's WWE Championship match against Randy Orton on the September 13 episode of Raw, helping the All Mighty to find the edge of the ring after suffering an RKO at the hands of the Viper.

The co-founder of the Hurt Business was then treated to his own RKO for his troubles, and WWE have confirmed that it was during this incident that MVP sustained a broken rib.

The promotion say that the former United States Champion will be out of action 'indefinitely'.

While it is uncertain whether MVP's broken rib is a legitimate injury, the man himself has taken to social media to say he will also be taking the time to get his knee fixed.

MVP sustained a serious knee injury during a six-man tag-team match on Raw in February, which stopped him from wrestling for a number of months.

With MVP down following the RKO, he was unable to assist Lashley when Big E came out to cash in his Money In The Bank contract and win the WWE Title from the All Mighty, who was successful in his defence against Orton just minutes prior.
