WWE Appoint Another New Member To Senior Leadership Team

More changes to the leadership team

WWE has announced the appointment of Claudine Lilien as senior vice president and head of global sales and partnerships. In her new role, Lilien will oversee day-to-day operations and lead WWE's sales organisation while also expanding the company's sponsors and promotional partnerships. She will report to WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon.

Vince McMahon said: "Claudine is a seasoned executive with a strong business acumen and outstanding reputation within the sports and entertainment marketplace. I am excited for Claudine to lead WWE's sales division and look forward to her immediate contributions as we continue to deliver tremendous value to our world-class partners."

Lilien previously worked in a senior leadership role at FOX, most recently as senior vice president of client management and solutions at FOX Sports. In that role, she was responsible for "leading sales and marketing efforts" for FOX Sports' priority accounts, which included Friday Night SmackDown. She had been with FOX for 15 years prior to her departure.

Lilien's appointment is just the latest move in what has been a major shake-up within WWE. Multiple higher-ups in the communications and talent relations department have departed the company over the past week and three new appointments were recently made to the senior leadership team.

The changes are said to be a part of Nick Khan's plans for the company and the WWE president has been given a great amount of leeway by Vince McMahon to transition WWE into more of a mainstream entertainment company.
