WWE Backstage Reaction To Dakota Kai's Torn Meniscus

Reaction to Dakota Kai’s torn meniscus in WWE revealed

Dakota Kai is once again on the injured list, with the Damage CTRL star recently tearing their meniscus and facing eight-to-ten weeks on the sidelines as a result.

A report from PWInsider states there is a lot of sympathy backstage within WWE for Kai, with the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion said to be well liked and respected within the company. Whilst there is no concrete return date set for Kai, the hope is she’ll be back in the mix on TV as WWE begins the build up to Survivor Series on November 30.

This latest injury comes just mere months after Kai returned to the ring following a 10-month layoff, with ‘King Kota’ returning in March 2024 after tearing her ACL in May 2023.

Kai has been part of WWE since December 2016, working as part of NXT’s women’s division until being released by the company in April 2022, only to re-sign with WWE in July 2022 and returning at SummerSlam that year to form Damage CTRL with Bayley and IYO SKY. Kai’s Damage CTRL stablemate Asuka is also out of action, with the former WWE Women’s Champion not expected back in-ring until 2025 at the earliest.
