WWE loading up NXT to run head-to-head with AEW Dynamite

The October 10 edition of All Elite Wrestling Dynamite is a special Tuesday edition of the show, with Dynamite moved due to MLB coverage.

With Dynamite set to run against NXT on Tuesday night, WWE have pulled out all the stops in loading the show with main event-level talent, with it revealed on the October 3 edition of NXT that John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Asuka, and Paul Heyman will all be appearing on NXT.

Cena and Heyman will be ringside for Carmelo Hayes vs. Bron Breakker, with Cena cornering Hayes, and Heyman with Breakker. Heyman appeared on the October 3 NXT to reveal his displeasure at Hayes receiving advice from Cena, before aligning himself with former NXT Champion Breakker.

Asuka will be in action against Roxanne Perez on NXT, with the match set up by Kiana James. James cost Perez a future shot at the NXT Women’s Title, and said that if Perez could defeat Asuka then she would get a match with James at a later date.

As for Rhodes, the ‘American Nightmare’ will be on NXT to deliver a ‘major announcement’.
