Christian Cage goes by a variety of different names under his current iteration in AEW, such as ‘Loved’, ‘Courageous’, ‘Generous’, ‘Compassionate’, ‘Respected’, ‘Sacrificing’, ‘Father’, and whatever other words pop up during his entrance video when emerging on AEW programming, but he used to go under the nickname of ‘Captain Charisma’.

In both his spells with WWE, Christian was often referred to as ‘Captain Charisma’, and when leaving WWE in 2005, he filed to trademark the term, and began using it in TNA Wrestling. However, WWE were quick to dispute the trademark, and he had to stop using it, instead wrestling under the nickname of ‘The Instant Classic’.

Christian Cage has once again tried to trademark the term ‘Captain Charisma’, as revealed by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, but history has repeated itself as WWE has stepped in the way once again. He mostly used this nickname during his time spent competing as a babyface, so there is a chance that this could suggest future AEW plans for a babyface Christian Cage, though there is no guarantee that he was trying to trademark it for use in AEW, but rather for merchandise or other purposes.
