Adam Copeland has been out of action in AEW since all the way back at May’s Double Or Nothing 2024 PPV where an elbow drop from top of a steel cage led to him breaking his leg, being ruled out of action for what looks to be the remainder of the year. It was reported earlier this week that Copeland had finally been cleared for physicality, getting the wheels turning for an eventual return to the ring. However, as noted by PWInsider, Copeland isn’t expected to be back until 2025 when he wraps up shooting for Disney+ series Percy Jackson.

Copeland was asked about his AEW comeback during a recent interview with The Leafs Nation, and his comments seemed to confirm that he was getting closer to an in-ring return.

“I feel good. You know, my brain forgets I’m 51, but my body quickly reminded me: ‘Yeah, you just jumped from 21 feet, assh*le. Like, that’s technically three stories. You’re 51, quit it.’ But I feel good. I’m ready to get back at it and to get busy again.”

Shooting for Percy Jackson is slated to finish up in January, leading to speculation of Copeland returning at AEW’s Fight For The Fallen show on January 1, which takes place where Copeland resides in North Carolina.
