WWE Cancels House Shows Due To Hurricane Ian

Two NXT live events have been rescheduled due to the hurricane

Hurricane Ian has forced WWE to cancel this weekend's non-televised NXT live events.

The two shows were scheduled to take place in Florida, but the state has issued a state of emergency, with about 2.5 million Floridians under evacuation orders in response to the hurricane.

Friday's show from the University Area Community Complex in Tampa has since been rescheduled for December 17, while Saturday's show from the Dade City Armory in Dade City has been postponed until November 11.

Tickets purchased for the original dates will be honoured on the newly-announced ones.

WWE issued the following statement with regards to the rescheduled shows:

"Due to Hurricane Ian, the WWE NXT LIVE events this Friday, September 30th in Tampa, FL & Saturday, October 1st in Dade City, Florida will be postponed.

"All tickets purchased for this Friday's event in Tampa will be honored at the new event on Saturday, December 17th and all tickets purchased for this Saturday's event in Dade City will be honored at the new event on Friday, November 11th.

"If you have any questions about these events or would like a refund for your ticket please email [email protected] with your name and order number."
