WWE Censors The Rock's Beatdown Of Cody Rhodes

Freeze-frame shots used during YouTube version of The Rock-Cody Rhodes beatdown

The Rock did what he promised to do on the March 25 episode of Monday Night Raw, making Cody Rhodes bleed at the event from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

Dwayne Johnson made a surprise appearance on Raw, interrupting Cody Rhodes in the opening segment. The WrestleMania opponents then came to blows in the final minutes of Raw after Cody managed to fight off Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, only to be laid out from behind by The Rock. Dwayne Johnson then battered Cody Rhodes, decking him with multiple trash can shots to the head before the beatdown moved outside.

The Rock, while shouting "motherf*cker", "sh*ts", and other expletives, continued the beatdown and he made Cody bleed after throwing him into the side of his own bus. The Rock then told Cody that he doesn't know about hard times but he will at WrestleMania. This led to The Rock rubbing his hand over Cody's face and wiping the blood on a weight belt that read "Mama Rhodes" as Dwayne Johnson insulted Cody's mother to end Raw.

The Raw-closing angle has since been uploaded to YouTube and WWE have censored the segment. Outside of bleeping out The Rock's cursing, the segment used freeze-frame shots when Dwayne Johnson hits Cody Rhodes with trash cans. Cody covered in blood was shown in full during the YouTube version of the angle.

The Rock will team with Roman Reigns in the main event of night one of WrestleMania 40 on April 6. The Bloodline will take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Cody Rhodes will then challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of night two.
